Here are 5 easy examples of ways to measure serving sizes. Remember, portion size and servings size are different.

Computer Mouse = 1 Pasta serving
NEED:
4-8 oz grains per day

Tennis ball or Fist = 1 cup
NEED:
1.5-2 cups fruits per day
2-3 cups veggies per day
3 cups milk per day

Thumb = 1/8 cup of cheese
NEED:
3 cups milk per day

Palm of Hand = 3-4 oz of meat/bean
NEED:
5-6.5 oz meat/beans per day
